About

Dartford Labour is working across Dartford to build a fairer Dartford for all. With our strong team of members, councillors, officers and candidates we want to see Labour in power, from a Labour Council in Dartford to a Labour Government right across the UK.
The Labour Party’s values are expressed in our constitution:
The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many not the few; where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe and where we live together freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.

Community standards
We know that not everyone will agree with us. As a democratic party we recognise difference, and encourage debate. Constructive criticism is welcome, but we want to create a welcoming space for everyone, both on this site, and on our social media channels. So if comments become abusive we will take appropriate action.
Racist, sexist, homophobic or other abusive/offensive content or “trolling” will not be permitted. Content deemed to fall into these categories may be deleted, and the users posting it may be blocked; in serious cases we will report to the police. The Labour Party does not tolerate:
- Hate Speech and Discrimination: content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or prejudice against individuals or groups.
- Harassment and Bullying: abusive, threatening, or intimidating behaviour towards representatives, candidates, or other users.
- Illegal Activities: content related to illegal activities, such as drug use or violence.
- Copyright Infringement: use of copyrighted material with our proper attribution.
- Misinformation and False Information: the spread of false or misleading information.
- Spam and Advertising: the use of the platform for excessive or unwanted advertising.
- Other Conduct: anonymous comments; impersonation; hacking; or any other behaviour that could be disruptive, or inhibits respectful debate.
